I'm dragging....

Almost Friday again...and, I'm dragging!

Gavin has finally started sleeping through the night again and I'm still tired by the end of the afternoon! He has only awakened once in the last week and a half or so....yay!!

Poor Grayson has had a double ear infection for 2 weeks. I took him in on the 19th b/c his ears were FLAMING red on the inside. Double ear infection. We saw Dr. Beck b/c it was a Saturday and he prescribed Omnicef. Got through 10 days of that. Yesterday, Grayson pointed to BOTH ears and said "my ears hurt" in sad little voice. So, I looked in there and yes, they are still red! I called Prairie Peds and they made him come in. Andrew ran him down to see Dr. Rehan. She prescribed Amoxycillin this time. The thing that stinks is it has to be taken twice/day, after a meal, and it has to be refrigerated! So, we have to send it to Marlene's, make sure she refrigerates it, sends it back, blah blah blah...for another 10 days! Grrrrrrr....

Thankfully, he doesn't act crabby at all and he's still sleeping great. :)

We have a Pheasants Forever banquet this weekend. Great fun! Andrew is on the committee, so I'm sure he'll be working the whole time. On Sunday, we'll do the SuperBowl at Huber's. Next weekend I plan on scrapping Friday night (after cocktail club) and we're going to the Yankton Kelly Inn for Mom's b-day. She's treating us all to a night there. Should be fun...the kids haven't gotten to swim in months!

After that, it's off to Vegas! I will be gone Feb. 13th-16th. I'm very nervous (And sad) to leave the kids for that long, but they'll be in good hands with their Daddy (and I'm sure grandma's). :)

Grayson's b-day is coming up, too. I can't believe the little stinker is going to be 2. Makes me sad!

O.K...enough for now.

Almost Friday!

The weeks since coming back from X-mas vacation have been SOOOOOOOO long! Last week drug on very slowly. I have been sick some, so that's not helping. My sinuses are killing me and giving me bad headaches.

The girls in the GTL office think it might be b/c the offic has MOLD in it. Five out of six of us are having sinus issues. Lovely.

Gavin has been a real stinker lately, especially at night. He is waking 3-4 times/night and coming into our room. He tries to call in bed with us and if that doesn't work, he wants me (not Andrew) to sleep in bed with him. So, we've reverted to walking him back to his room without saying a word. It worked all three times last night, as he did not pitch a big fit. I just think we need to find out why he's waking so much in the first place. I am wondering if he needs his tonsils taken out. They are HUGE, almost touching. The Ped. was concerned about them the last time she saw him, but didn't think they would take them until he's 3. Well, then the Allergist didn't think they were that big. Can't believe that.

Grayson is sleeping wonderfully. The poor kid is getting his 2-year molars and is still sleeping great. We do give him Tylenol before bed, so I think that helps.

Both kids have a bit of a cold, but we've been lucky b/c no one has been really sick yet this winter (knock on wood). Gavin has a cough and stuffy nose and Grayson has a runny nose. Both boys have really bright red cheeks. I think Grayson's is related more to the teething.

Gavin is doing AWESOME with potty training. He has not had an accident in weeks and is waking up dry most mornings. He doesn't need to wear a pull-up for nap anymore, so he's just wearing them to bed.

Sherry and I have been busy trying to figure out our Black Hills trip this summer. Her parents are coming out and Jerry and Diney, so we're trying to coordinate schedules. The crappy thing is that the cabins they want to stay in are going to run about $100/night and that's even with sharing with someone. We are thinking about taking Scott's camper (if he'll let us) and staying in that at least part of the time. That will run us about $35/night instead of $100!! I would almost be tempted to stay in that the whole time if I knew it was going to work out! But, since we've never done it, I'm scared! We would only be 2-3 miles from the cabins where they are staying. We'll have to see how Sherry feels about that one!

I will be scrapping tomorrow after school. I haven't done anything for a few months. I am up to last summer on Grayson's album, so I think I can get caught up with his tomorrow. Then, I am probably 2 years behind on Gavin's now. :( So, I'll have to work on that next. My goal is to be caught up with both of them by the time school is out!

I am currently in 3 (yes, three!) weight loss contests right now. One at work, one at the gym, and one on-line. The one at work is for $$ and the one at the gym is for free gym memberships! I need to get going!

That's it for now!

The big presentation!

I had to give a big (SEL) presentation today at work. Myself and 3 others had to present to the Harney and EN Swett staff. We had the whole morning (4 hours). It went very well and I think I'm *kind of* overcoming my fear of speaking in front of people....slowly.

We had inservice yesterday and today and again on Monday. I am glad we start with this instead of having kids come in right away.

The boys are settled back at Marlene's, didn't seem too bad. She is going to let Gavin start wearing underwear (finally) on Monday. He hasn't had an accident in over a week. He's been pretty much potty-trained for about a month now. He still wears a pull-up for nap and bedtime.

Grayson has his 2nd b-day next month and I'm really stumped on what to do for it. We will have a party as usual, but I don't know what to do for gifts. I bought an outdoor play thing (with a slide, etc.) that I might give him. Mom bought him a pattery-powered, ride-on four wheeler. I just don't really want any more toys in the house! I want him to be able to open a few things, but I would prefer it if he didn't get all toys. Just a dilemma!

Not sure what we'll do for a theme. He's not really into anything, except he loves tractors and trucks. That's about it. So, maybe we'll do a Tonka theme??

That's about it for now. I'm ready for the weekend after only a two-day work week. I think we might go watch Caleb and Ben wrestle at EPJ tomorrow. It will be Ben's first time and I've heard he's an animal! Surprise! :)
